Too much to be still

The vibrant world of acrylic

I take you into a realm of powerful colours, imaginative, abstract compositions and textures that capture and hold your gaze. Each work is an invitation to keep watching. My way of working with acrylic paint is intuitive. Sometimes I control and sometimes I let the colours and shapes flow without a plan, creating unique textures and unexpected depths. This organic process results in pieces that are both dynamic and surprising.

Line of fracture

Line of fracture was painted during my stay in Portugal. And which colours did  I choose? Right, Delft Blue and orange.

Well, I'm Dutch.

Chair(?)

Not really comfortable to sit on. In black line, a figure was intuitively created. It appeared - and could no longer be ignored.

Roots

It seems that tree roots communicate with each other. That's a fascinating thought. But in the meantime, be careful not to trip over.

Orange, blue, black and white.

Wonderful to work with pallet knife and water. Let paint drip for unexpected effects.

On paper 50X70 cm.

Into Copperwood

An illusion of forest emerged by dripping paint, sanding and scraping back so underlaying paint emerged again.

Watch out. WET!

I wanted to create a vibrant piece,  that radiated energy through the use of colour and dynamic shapes. So I started by choosing colours and got to work.

The interplay of bright pink, yellow tones and deep blue creates this lively atmosphere.

Encrypted

A hidden order lies beneath the apparent chaos of colour and texture. This painting works like an encrypted message - covering layers of paint, deforming and revealing each other at the same time. Bright colours act as signals, while dull zones shield information, as if not everything is meant to be read instantly. Dripping lines and painted shapes suggest data leaking, noise disrupting the signal. Only when the viewer slows down and looks attentively does meaning arise — not unambiguous, but personal. As with encryption, the core is present, but only accessible to those willing to interpret, decipher and read between layers.
