Too much to be still

My world of experiment and wonder

I think art is the most exciting when boundaries blur and materials come together. Here you will discover my mixed media works.  I want to share the pleasure of experimenting. I drip ink to capture movement, use pieces of cardboard for extra depth and spray paint for unexpected effects. My hands, sponges, palette knives and markers are all tools in this creative process. There is no fixed rule - just the urge to discover what happens when I bring different elements together.

Lightshift

Blue acrylic paint combined with ink and bronze paint. Due to the bronze paint, the work is dynamic. The work changes when light falls on it from a different angle.

Grenzen van kleur

Where colour and contour meet, a landscape of feeling is created.

New beginnings

In this piece I used various types of ink and let the inks flow and blend together. Through the interplay of warm shades - rich oranges, soft pink, fuchsia and sunny yellow tones - it radiates vibrant energy. The bright colours feel like a new beginning. The round shape stands for repetition and security.

Abstract seascape

I let diluted blue acrylic paint flow over the paper. It suggests transparent water. The flood line is indicated with charcoal, pencil and marker. The colours next to each other are powerful like nature itself.

Structures

A cardboard plate was cut into shape and glued to the canvas. Stones, strings were incorporated into the paint layer. With aluminum foil structure has been applied. Then the piece was sprayed with light and bright colours.
