Lively showpieces

My showpieces are created with simple tools: fingers, a palette knife, an old gift card, or sprayed straight from the bottle. They are characterized by a unique style of vibrant colours, rich texture, and dynamic movement.

The process

I usually start without a clear plan - with no more than a vague idea. I choose colours, materials and tools and get to work with them - even if I don't have inspiration, inspiration does come while working. I respond to what happens on the canvas or paper. The work arises gradually. It is a constant play of focussed 'doing' and embracing sometimes unexpected outcomes. The process is intense and pure.

Creating starts with daring

After seeing my work, I hope you remember that painting is a matter of daring to 'do'. If you feel the need to create, go for it. Find out what you like in your work - what's the essence.

Embrace your creations - be yourself!
